Application Terms & Conditions
(a) Participation in the Project is only open to applicants who work in or have worked in the retail industry. If you are part of a performing group at least 50% of the group’s members must work in retail and the lead performer must work in or have worked in retail.
(b) Please note that to audition for the Project you must be at least 16 years old by 1st April 2010. If you are under 18 please make sure that you get the permission of your parents or legal guardians before applying, and, if you are invited to audition, you must be accompanied by your parents or legal guardians at the audition.
(c) Applications must be submitted as soon as possible. Any forms received after 10th September 2010 will not be considered.
(d) All personal details and/or information given in this form or otherwise must be truthful, accurate and in no way misleading. We reserve the right to disqualify you if you have supplied untruthful, inaccurate or misleading personal details and/or information, have failed to abide by the rules and/or are in breach of these terms.
(e) You must be resident in the UK or Republic of Ireland with a valid passport. You may be asked to provide documentation in order to substantiate your age.
(f) You must disclose to us details of any/all criminal or civil actions pending against you currently and/or served against you and/or any unspent convictions.
(g) Applicants will be selected at the sole discretion of Retail Trust, whose decision will be final.
(h) You agree to abide by all rules, regulations, and reasonable requests relating to the Project. Our decision on all such matters shall be final;
Rights
(i) You grant to us a non-exclusive irrevocable licence of all rights, including without limitation copyright and performers’ property rights, in any audition material that you submit as part of your Application (“Material”) and all consents necessary to enable us to make the fullest use of the Material worldwide in perpetuity in any and all media, whether now known or hereafter developed or discovered, without payment, liability (save as specifically set out in this agreement) or acknowledgement to you;
(j) You acknowledge and agree that we shall be entitled to edit, copy, add to, adapt or translate the Material at our discretion and, in respect of the Material, you hereby irrevocably waive in favour of us, our assignees and licensees the benefit of all moral rights and performers’ rights arising under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 or similar rights arising under the laws of any jurisdiction.
Data Protection
(k) The information you provide about yourself as part of the application procedure will be used by us to assess whether or not to select you for the Project. If you are successful, this information may be used in connection with the production and promotion of the Project. By submitting this Application you consent to any information you provide, including without limitation any sensitive personal information, being used for this purpose.
(l) We may also use the information you provide to verify your age and identity and to carry out background checks with law enforcement and government agencies. We may share your information with your employer as part of the selection process and in connection with the production and promotion of the Project.
